Where our partner pros work
We're a free referral service. Tell us what's wrong with a window, door or piece of glass and where you live, and we pass the request to an independent local pro who does that work, anywhere in Winnipeg and in a number of towns past the Perimeter. The area pages are grouped by the age of the houses, because that decides most of what goes wrong with the glass.
How coverage works
Coverage follows the pros. Each request goes to an independent window or glass professional who takes that kind of job in your part of the city or region. Inside the Perimeter, that means every neighbourhood, whether or not it has its own page.
The pro contacts you, quotes from photos or a visit, and does the work. Our part is getting the request to someone who handles that job and making sure it doesn't go quiet. When you're ready, start a request with your neighbourhood or town, a postal code and a photo of the problem.
Towns past the Perimeter
Selkirk and Steinbach have their own pages. Selkirk's houses are mostly older than the 1980s; Steinbach has grown fast, and much of it is newer. For the ring municipalities, such as East St. Paul, West St. Paul and Headingley, tell us your address and we'll check which pro covers it.
Past the Perimeter, travel can be part of the price. Some pros charge for distance and some don't. Ask before anyone books a visit, and ask for travel to appear as its own line on the written quote. Farther out, in Portage la Prairie, Brandon or Winkler, send the request anyway: we'll check whether a pro covers your address and tell you honestly if nobody does.
How to read the list: go by the age of the house
Most Winnipeg homes were built before the 1980s, and nearly a third date from 1960 or earlier. Each era has its own glass problems, so find yours even if your street isn't named.
Older character neighbourhoods
- Wolseley and Armstrong's Point: wood sash and storm windows, and heritage permits in the Point.
- River Heights and Crescentwood: interwar houses with old sash beside later sealed units, and a heritage district.
- St. Boniface, Norwood and Windsor Park: older Norwood homes next to 1950s and 60s streets.
Postwar suburbs
- North and East Kildonan and Garden City: mid-century houses in the path of the 2023 hail.
- Transcona: an old core beside brand-new subdivisions.
- Tuxedo and Charleswood: larger 1960s and 70s houses, where working room by room can make sense.
- St. Vital: every era since the 1950s, often on one street.
1980s–2000s and newer suburbs
- Fort Garry and Waverley West: worn cranks and first-generation sealed units, plus new builds in Bridgwater.
Condos and high-rises
- Osborne Village and River-Osborne: balcony doors in towers, and who owns the glass.

Common questions
Do the pros cover my neighbourhood?
If you're inside the Perimeter, yes. The area pages exist because some parts of the city share a housing era and its problems, not because coverage stops at their edges. Put your neighbourhood and postal code on the request form, and we'll pass it to a pro who takes that kind of job near you.
Is there a travel charge if I live past the Perimeter?
Sometimes. It depends on the pro, the distance and the job, so we can't promise either way. Ask before anyone books a visit, and ask for travel to be shown as its own line on the written quote. Clear photos help, because a pro can often tell whether the job is what it looks like before making the drive.
Do pros cover East St. Paul, Headingley and Stonewall?
It depends on the job and on which pros are taking work in your direction. These places don't have their own pages, so put the town and postal code on the form, and we'll check whether a pro covers your address. Permit rules outside Winnipeg can differ, so ask your municipality before changing the size of an opening.
What if my town isn't on the list?
Send the request anyway. The list shows places with their own pages, not the edge of coverage. For towns farther out, we'll check whether a pro serves your address and say so honestly if nobody does. A photo of the whole window and a close-up of the damage help a distant pro decide whether the trip makes sense.
