What this site does

Windows Winnipeg helps people in Winnipeg and nearby Manitoba communities find independent window, door and glass professionals. You describe a job, and we pass your request to a local pro who does that kind of work. The service is free to you. We may receive a fee from pros for referrals; that doesn't make us a party to your dealings with them.

We aren't a contractor. We don't measure, quote, sell, install or repair anything, and no one from Windows Winnipeg comes to your home.

Quotes and contracts are between you and the pro

• Every quote comes from the pro. They set the price, the scope and the schedule.
• Any contract is between you and the pro. We aren't a party to it and can't change its terms.
• The pro is responsible for their own work, materials, licences, insurance, permits where needed, safety on site and cleanup.
• We can't guarantee that a pro will be available or will quote by a certain date, though we do follow up when a request goes quiet.

Get every quote in writing before work starts, and check what it includes. We try to match you with pros who do good work, but we don't supervise them and can't vouch for any single job.

Warranties and call-backs

We give no warranty on any pro's work, materials or products. Warranties come from the pro who does the job and from the product's maker. Before you sign, ask what the warranty covers, for how long, and who to call if something goes wrong, and keep the paperwork. If a warranty call goes unanswered, tell us. We can't enforce the warranty, but we'll contact the pro and ask them to respond.

Buying from an in-home salesperson

If a pro sells to you in your home and you sign there, Manitoba's rules for direct sellers may give you a cancellation period and require a written contract. Read the province's guidance on home improvements before you sign.

Information on this site

Our pages explain common problems in general terms. They aren't professional advice for your home; only a pro who sees the job can confirm what it needs. Rebate, permit and tax rules change. Where we describe them, we link to the official source, and that source is what counts.

Using the site

Please give accurate information, and only send requests for property you own, manage or have permission to arrange work on. Don't upload anything unlawful or anyone else's private information. We may refuse or remove requests that misuse the service.

Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, Windows Winnipeg isn't responsible for the work, products, prices, delays or conduct of any pro, or for any loss arising from a contract between you and a pro. The site is provided as is, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Manitoba consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its date, is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
